Our Falafel Saj is Vegan friendly. Fulfilling Baked falafel, topped with our Tahini sauce and crispy veggies. Every bite will take you to the streets of Beirut!
what better than a Saj filled with melted cheese & ham (add a pinch of Zaatar to give it a Lebanese twist).
The saltiness of the slightly melted, cooked Halloumi cheese blends perfectly with the freshness of the tomatoes, cucumbers and mint.
Saj Goat Cheese. A punch of the Goat Cheese will awaken your pallet. This Saj, will definitely leave a lasting taste in your mouth.
This is Manu, eating a Manoushe.
Saj chicken sumac. The famous one. Alright, so, where do we start? My mom’s special recipe. A Mediterranean sweet and tangy pulled chicken laid on a bed of our traditional and homemade hummus. Nothing homier.
Saj Lahm Bi Ajin. Trust us. This Lahm bi Ajin is a classic in Lebanon. For breakfast, lunch or dinner, Lahm bi Ajin is the answer. At home we like to add a little pomegranate molasses, it’s a perfect combination with the spices of the meat, only If you feel like taking a trip to the middle east.
Before starting their day.. coffee at Makan
The Nutella Saj is made to be shared!
The thin and crispy Saj wraps around that tasty Nutella. As you take a bite, don't worry about the Nutella coming out. Oh, and I would definitely add bananas to this.
Our Jellab is the perfect drink for a hot summer month. Super refreshing and energizing drink from the Middle East.
Mahalabiya.. A dessert so Lebanese that you will start speaking Arabic, Lebanese Arabic. It's smooth, fresh, and so light, you'll probably be fluttering the rest of the day!
Saj Labneh. There are several ways to travel to Beirut: eating a Labneh Saj is one of them. If you don't know what Labneh is, well don't think twice, that's the one for you. It is a soft Lebanese yoghurt-based cheese that no Lebanese can live without.
We melt that cheese in the Saj until it starts to bubble. As your teeth cut through the Manoushe, you'll be instantly hooked. Let's sprinkle a little Zaatar and there you have it, your classic Manoushe!!
The mighty chicken. Because our Chicken Sumac is powerful. With a base of chickpeas for even more protein, lettuce tomatoes and lemon dressing. .. guaranteed to be energized after this bowl.
Saj Zaatar. Manoushe's concept began with the zaatar blend. This herbaceous nutty spice mix is felt in the mornings in Lebanon. I also can't help but remember my grandmother listed all the benefits of it: Calms inflammation, increases energy, improves mood, improves memory, and the list goes on...
And as we said, Labneh is as much a part of our culture as Zaatar. What if we mix both? Well, it's not us who think about that... it was done years and years ago. We live our culture.
Pulled brisket Our brisket is slow cooked for eight hours mixed with a thousand spices that I don't even know how my mother invented this recipe. It's another special of yours. It is spicy, but not so much that you will not taste the quality of the meat. Because, let me tell you, that meat is of high quality.
The amazing lentils. Hey, if it wasn't amazing, we wouldn't have called it that. Lentils soaked in our balsamic dressing make the Bowl a healthy eating wonder. We all know about the goodness of lentils, but what we don't all know is how tasty they can be: this Bowl is your proof.
And this is our Super Freekeh. Freekeh is a grain normally found in the Middle East. It's low in fat, high in protein and high in fiber - it's healthier than quinoa! You do not believe it? Take a look on Google! The cranberries give this Bowl a sweet flavor, the sunflower seeds the crunch it needs, and the lemon dressing holds everything together so well.
Sfoof. They look like mushrooms in Super Mario! They are soft, but crispy on top. They are made for vegans, but they don't have that dryness that vegan desserts tend to have. They are sweet enough and are guaranteed to make you believe in love. Little sin, or not... these little muffins are made with the super spice turmeric, are dairy-free, and just the right amount of sweetness to finish off a meal.
"She has fallen in love with Super freekeh and that is where her dilemma is now" Giving a Saj to Victor, one of our most loyal customers. His favorite is a Lahm bi Ajin with pomegranate molasses. but he has fallen in love with Super freekeh and that is where his dilemma is now.
